Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Residential Service Electrician to execute electrical projects within residential settings. Must be able to work in Nashville, TN. This role involves ensuring all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, and delivering high-quality electrical work. Duties: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install or repair electrical systems. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and ELECTRICAL systems across various residential properties. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local building codes for safety and quality assurance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project managers to plan installation schedules and address any on-site challenges promptly. Conduct inspections of completed work to verify safety standards are met and prepare documentation for inspections or permits as required. Skills Extensive experience with residential electrical systems, combined with knowledge of commercial or industrial electrician practices, is highly desirable. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction plans; familiarity with low-voltage systems and high-voltage applications. Strong understanding of the NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations for safe electrical installations. Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and wire strippers, as well as power tools necessary for construction site work. Experience working on renovation projects or new construction sites with a focus on framing carpentry or maintenance person tasks is advantageous. Ability to operate testing devices like ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently using schematics. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician practices, and low voltage wiring is a plus. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints accurately and follow detailed schematics for complex wiring systems. Prior construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols and quality control in residential settings.
