Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Aurora, IL

Assignment Type: 3- month contract with potential for extensions

Compensation: $40.00 - $45.00 / Hourly depending on relevant experience

What You’ll Be Doing: Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and adjustments Perform monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts Take ownership of the month-end close process and help ensure timely, accurate financial reporting Analyze general ledger activity, identify variances, and research discrepancies Prepare supporting schedules and assist with financial reporting and audit requests Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting controls Recommend and support accounting process improvements and documentation initiatives Partner closely with AP, AR, Payroll, and FP&A teams to support daily accounting operations Assist with year-end close activities and external audit preparation
