The Opportunity: DME is looking for a Territory Account Manager to join our Indianapolis sales team. You'll be assigned a defined geographic territory that includes existing DME customers as well as new business opportunities. Your responsibility is to own and grow that territory. That means building relationships with current customers, identifying additional ways DME can support their businesses, and developing new customers through prospecting, referrals, networking and other business development activities. This is a field-based sales position for someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships and creating opportunities.
What You'll Do: As a Territory Account Manager, you'll: Manage and develop relationships with existing DME customers within your assigned territory Learn each customer's business, current technology and future needs Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts across DME's portfolio of solutions Prospect for new businesses and decision-makers within your territory Generate opportunities through phone, email, in-person prospecting, networking, referrals and other outreach Meet with business owners, executives and other decision-makers Conduct customer needs assessments, presentations and product demonstrations Partner with DME specialists and technical teams when opportunities require additional expertise Prepare proposals, negotiate agreements and close business Maintain an active pipeline and manage customer and prospect activity through our CRMFollow up consistently with customers, prospects and leads Develop a plan for your territory and work toward monthly and annual sales goals Build long-term customer relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals
What We're Looking For: We're looking for someone with the initiative and drive to take ownership of a territory. You don't need to come to DME already knowing everything about managed IT, cybersecurity, print or physical security. We'll provide training on our products, services, sales process and technology. We're looking for someone who is: Self-motivated and comfortable being accountable for results Confident meeting and communicating with new people Comfortable developing new business rather than waiting for leads Interested in building long-term customer relationships Competitive and motivated by goals and earning potential Organized and consistent with follow-up Coachable and willing to learn Comfortable using technology and learning new systems Professional when working with business owners and decision-makers Able to manage both existing customer relationships and new business development Previous B2B sales experience is a plus, but not required. Experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, recruiting, retail or another customer-facing, goal-oriented environment may also translate well to this position. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Compensation First-year target compensation: $50,000–$110,000+Compensation includes a base salary, uncapped commissions and performance bonuses, along with a car and cell phone allowance. Because you'll inherit a territory with existing DME customers while also having the ability to develop new business, there are multiple ways to grow your customer base and earnings. Training & Support New Territory Account Managers receive structured training through DME University, along with ongoing coaching from sales leadership. You'll also have access to specialists across DME's technology portfolio. As you uncover opportunities in areas such as managed IT, cybersecurity, physical security or production print, you'll have experienced resources available to help you develop and close the opportunity.
