Division/Department Information The Division of Administration & Economics houses the B.S.in Fashion Studies, Program the B.S. in Enterprise Regulation: Profit and Non-Profit, and the A.S. Program in Business Administration. The Fashion Studies Program provides students with knowledge, skills, and experiences to succeed in the industry. The programprovides a comprehensive, in-depth, and global approach to studyingthe business aspects of the fashion industry. The core curriculumconsists of courses in various areas of fashion, business, ethics, and sustainability. Foundational knowledge and skills in fashionstudies are supported. The Enterprise Regulation: The Profit and Non-Profit programfocus on the business industry's fundamental competencies, whichare vital for the field's future managers. The core curriculum inthe liberal arts will provide students with the broad knowledge andstrong communication skills that today's employers expect ofwell-educated professionals. Business Law knowledge will facilitateeffective managers and facilitate effective managers while alsocultivating creativity, leadership skills and entrepreneurialabilities that are in wide demand in the business arena. Thisprogram provides students with business law knowledge, skills, andexperiences to succeed in the business industry. Internships are an integral part of our programs. Internshipsmay be completed in New York and at one of the University's globalcampuses, locations in Rome, Paris, and Limerick, Ireland. The St. John's Community provides internship guidance, mentoring students and provides students with the tutelage tosucceed in their chosen career.
Job Responsibilities: The Fashion Studies Program provides students with the knowledgeskills and experience to succeed in the industry. The programprovides a comprehensive-in-depth and global approach to studying the business aspects of the fashion industry. The core curriculumconsists of courses in various areas of fashion business, ethics, and sustainability. Foundational knowledge and skills in fashionstudies are supported. The adjunct professor should be familiarwith the digital fashion process. The adjunct professor should becomfortable teaching various courses such as: Current Issues inFashion, Color in Life and Fashion, Construction of Denim: Past, Present and Future, and Retailing just to name a few of thecourses. Competencies, Education, Experience All applicants must hold a master's degree; industry experience isneeded. Must demonstrate a proficiency in the field of Fashion. Supplemental Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the salary range forthis position is Adjunct Instructor $1,803 per contact hour, Adjunct Assistant $1,906 per contact hour, Adjunct Associate $2,009per contact hour, and Adjunct Professor $2,215 per contact hour.
