About the role
- Own the commercial relationship for a portfolio of existing Sela accounts, with responsibility for retention, satisfaction, and revenue growth
- Develop deep technical familiarity with each customer's cloud environment across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including their roadmap, constraints, and priorities
- Identify and drive expansion opportunities across new service lines—migration, application modernization, DevOps, data, cloud operations, and AI/ML workloads
- Partner closely with Sela's architects and delivery teams to ensure engagements are on track and to surface follow-on opportunities
- Run regular business reviews with customer stakeholders, from engineering leads through executive sponsors
- Serve as the customer's advocate internally, coordinating across delivery, cloud operations, and finance
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and account plans in CRM tools
- Support renewals of managed services and ongoing engagements
- Bring customer and market insights back to the team to help shape offerings, particularly around AI and cloud-native workloads
- 5+ years in a customer-facing role at a cloud services provider, consultancy, or systems integrator—technical account management, customer success, solutions consulting, or services sales
- Strong working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with practical familiarity across the others
- Ability to hold substantive technical conversations about cloud architecture, migration approaches, and modernization patterns without needing an engineer in the room for every call
- Demonstrated success growing revenue within existing accounts
- Comfort selling and scoping professional services engagements, not just products or licenses
- Genuine passion for technology; able to build credibility with customer technical leaders, executives, and our own engineering team
- Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills
- Hands-on background in cloud engineering, architecture, or infrastructure prior to moving into a customer-facing role
- Experience with data, AI/ML, DevOps, or cloud-native modernization projects
- Familiarity with cloud reseller and marketplace billing models
- Experience in a managed services environment
- Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator/Architect, Google Cloud Architect, or similar)
- Existing relationships within the AWS, Microsoft, or Google partner ecosystems
- Based in the greater New York City area or greater Philadelphia area and available to occasionally work from our office space
- Be part of a technical, high-integrity team working on meaningful cloud and AI projects
- Own real customer relationships with the backing of a strong engineering team
- Work across all three major clouds rather than being confined to one ecosystem
