About the role
- Proven experience scaling operations in a B2B service-based business, ideally one within the Marketing industry with recurring revenue and complex client delivery.* Experience leading managers and directors, not just individual contributors.* Experience managing distributed, international teams and contractors across time zones.* Strong understanding of capacity planning, operational performance, and process improvement.* A practical, Agile approach to execution, with experience implementing improvements incrementally.* Ability to identify root causes and solve problems without creating unnecessary complexity.* A decisive leader who gathers relevant input, makes the call, and takes responsibility for results.* Confident enough to challenge the CEO with facts, sound judgment, and clear recommendations.* Comfortable working with a fast-moving, entrepreneurial founder while bringing independent judgment and a leadership style of their own.* Strong communicator who can lead through change and earn the trust of an established team. How We WorkWe're a fast-moving, founder-led company. We value ownership, direct communication, accountability, and results. We prefer simple systems, clear decisions, and focused communication over unnecessary meetings or layers of approval. We expect leaders to move quickly, seek input from the people closest to the work, and make thoughtful decisions without getting stuck waiting for everyone to agree. We believe in making progress through focused, incremental improvements rather than spending months designing a perfect system before implementing anything. Engagement* Open to an independent contractor or employee relationship, depending on the individual* Remote* Compensation is competitive, and the range will be sent to those who pass the first round of applying- see below.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
