About the role
- Knowledge of catastrophe modeling and exposure management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and detail-oriented skills; translates complex results into actionable insights.
- Works independently within established priorities and appropriately escalates material issues or judgment-based decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, meteorology, finance, economics, data science, actuarial science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience required.
- Catastrophe modeling, insurance, or reinsurance development or designations, such as CPCU or ARe, preferred but not required.
- Typically requires 1-2 years of catastrophe modeling, exposure management, portfolio analytics, insurance, reinsurance, or related quantitative experience.
- Catastrophe modeling, accumulation analysis, and insurance or reinsurance portfolio analytics experience typically required.
- Catastrophe risk analysis supporting reserving, capital, or financial risk management decisions preferred.
- Enterprise risk management analytics or reporting experience.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
