About the role
Job Description:
Must be familiar with industrial parts using Cold Forging which is a high-speed metal forging process that shapes wire into fasteners. (shapes similar to bolts). coil wire feeds into the cold forging machine; the machine cuts off the piece of wire and applies extreme pressure utilizing die and punch sets to forge the appropriate shape. other titles for this position are called Cold heading.(1) Room temperature shaping: high compressive forces deform metal blanks or wire into precise configures without thermal softening (2) the technique minimizes or completely eliminates secondary cutting and machining steps by forming pats close to their final net shape.(3) Must be able to catch the piece of wire coming off the machine and apply extreme pressure using die and punch sets. Must be able to forge the wire into appropriate shape. (4) Skillfully operate a cold forging machine. (5) Must skillfully know how to do a changeover on various machines. (6) Must handle change overs skillfully with maximum speed and accuracy to maximize the setup. (7) Inspect and pass quality checks of the setup while production run is monitored during cold forging runs. (8) Extremely hands on process with focus on operating the cold forging machine. Needs at least three years cold forging machine and cold forging process. working with SF200 7 dies and 1 punch. or 3 dies and 1 punch. Also, thread machine exp will help.
Compensation:
Cold Header 23-26 a $1 shift differential / Lead Cold Header with 5 r more experience 28-33 hr. 1st. shift differential. Must interview and will help with relocation expenses.
