About the role
- Operate hydraulic and mechanical presses to form, shape, and cut metal components according to precise specifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine production requirements
- Perform pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency
- Inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to optimize production processes and workflow
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality
- Document production data, including quantities produced, material usage, and quality metrics
- Perform routine maintenance on press and saw equipment, including lubrication and minor repairs
- Train and mentor junior operators on proper equipment operation and safety procedures
- Adhere to all company policies, industry regulations, and quality control standards
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification in manufacturing or related field preferred
- Minimum of 1years of experience operating press and saw equipment in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or related industries
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Strong knowledge of press operations, including hydraulic and mechanical presses
- Basic computer skills for operating equipment and entering production data
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality components
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
