About the role

Electronics Debug Technician Component Level RepairWe are seeking an experienced Electronics Debug Technician for a hands-on electronics troubleshooting and repair position in Norcross, GA. This position is focused on diagnosing and repairing electronic assemblies and printed circuit boards (PCBs) down to the component level. The ideal candidate understands electronic circuits and can use diagnostic equipment to isolate failures, identify defective components, perform soldering/rework, and verify proper operation after repair. This is not simply an electronics assembly position. We are looking for someone with real troubleshooting ability who understands how to diagnose why an electronic device or circuit board has failed.
Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot electronic equipment and PCB assemblies to the component level
  • Diagnose electrical and electronic failures using schematics, test procedures, and diagnostic equipment
  • Use oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMM), power supplies, and other electronic test equipment
  • Identify failed or out-of-spec electronic components
  • Perform component-level PCB repair and rework
  • Solder and desolder electronic components as required
  • Remove and replace defective components while protecting surrounding circuitry
  • Inspect circuit boards for damaged components, connectors, solder joints, traces, and other defects
  • Perform functional testing following repairs to verify proper operation
  • Document failures, repairs performed, components replaced, and test results
  • Follow established ESD, quality, and safety procedures
  • Maintain an organized electronics repair and test workspace
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as an Electronics Technician, Debug Technician, PCB Repair Technician, Bench Technician, Electronic Repair Technician, or similar role
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting electronic circuits down to the component level
  • Ability to use an oscilloscope and digital multimeter for electronic troubleshooting
  • Strong soldering and desoldering skills
  • Experience removing and replacing electronic components on printed circuit boards
  • Ability to identify common electronic components and understand their basic functions
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Understanding of voltage, current, resistance, continuity, and basic electronic circuit operation
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to repair quality
  • Comfortable working independently at an electronics repair/test bench
Preferred Experience:
  • PCB/PCBA troubleshooting and repair
  • Through-hole and surface-mount component repairSMD/SMT soldering and rework
  • Oscilloscope-based signal troubleshooting
  • Power supply troubleshooting
  • Component replacement and circuit-board reworkIPC soldering/workmanship standardsESD-controlled electronics environments

Pay & Schedule:$23.00$27.00 per hour, based on electronics troubleshooting and component-level repair experience. MondayFriday | 8:00 AM4:30 PMCandidates with strong PCB troubleshooting, electronics repair, oscilloscope, soldering/desoldering, and component-level diagnostic experience are encouraged to apply.
