Volunteer or Intern

About the role
Program Support Volunteer Volunteering is a wonderful way to help others, build relationships, and give back to the community. Our volunteers bring an array of unique talents and beneficial skills to our programs, fundraisers, and administrative offices. Whether reading to preschoolers, playing music with adults or helping us with special events, volunteers at ADAPT are a vital component to our success. If you are patient, compassionate, and ready to make a meaningful commitment, we welcome you to share that special side of yourself with the people that we support.
Work with our adult recreation program (Evenings & Weekends), adult day programs, adult residential group homes (evenings & weekends) or as an administrative office assistant (Office Hours).

Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
