About the role
- Maintains patient confidentiality

- Function as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Taking complete, accurate messages from patients and relaying them to appropriate physician
- Use critical thinking skills in assessing patient needs and planning appropriate follow-up/intervention

- Provides patient education
- Performs specialty procedures as trained, as well as assisting M.D. with patients in office to include but is not limited to:
- IV insertion and hydration therapy
- Administer oral and IV push medications
- Administer Breathing treatments
- Cardiac Monitoring
- Wound care
- Assist with Cardiac interventions
- Orthopedic care to include assessment and splinting
- Take thorough and accurate intake on patients
- Specimen Collection and processing
- Run lab equipment for specimens and quality control
- Use EMR to document assessment and treatments
- Always ensure patient safety and wellbeing
- Work within department protocols
- Work within scope of practice always
