This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project plans and specifications, analyzing bids and proposals, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather pricing and scope information. The Project Estimator will develop and maintain budgets, track cost changes, and provide clear documentation to support project decisions and client communications. The role also involves participating in bid reviews, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring estimates align with company standards and profitability goals.Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Construction Estimating and Project Estimation for commercial or residential projects.Strong Cost Management and Budgeting skills to develop, monitor, and adjust project cost projections.Effective Communication skills to work with internal teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.Experience with estimating software and proficiency in MS Excel or similar tools.Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and local building codes.Strong analytical and numerical abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work on-site, manage multiple estimates simultaneously, and meet deadlines.High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.Previous experience as a project estimator or in a related construction role is highly beneficial.
