About the role

Job TitleAre you good with customers and good with your hands? This direct-hire role combines counter sales, parts, and inventory with building custom products to exact customer : First 4–6 months on 1st shift (approx. 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.), then move to 2nd shift.
What You'll Do:
  • Help customers find the right parts and products using catalogs and computer systems
  • Take detailed custom orders and build products to customer specifications
  • Cut, measure, and assemble components accurately using shop tools and equipment
  • Enter sales, pricing, inventory, and special orders into the system
  • Prepare orders and follow up on special orders and pickups
  • Keep inventory accurate and flag discrepancies
  • Receive, tag, and route returns and defective items
  • Keep shelves and the customer area clean and organized
What You Need:
  • High school diploma or GEDMechanical aptitude and comfort with parts, tools, or equipment
  • Precision and attention to detail when measuring and working to specs
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Solid basic math (fractions, decimals, percentages) and accurate data entry
  • Ability to read product info, quotes, and basic blueprints
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
  • Valid driver's license
Preferred: Customer service or retail experience, plus background in auto parts, auto repair, maintenance, manufacturing, farm/ag, warehouse, or other hands-on mechanical work. The ideal candidate has both.
