Midwest Renewable Energy (MRE) serves the changing world of ethanol production from agricultural feed stock to a distilled 200 proof final product - ethanol. MRE distributes products based on customer needs big and small and has a growing portfolio to meet the growing demands of exciting new markets. MRE provides distributors and end users with spec grade alcohol to enhance their application's performance, stability and earn repeat customers – while delivering capacity at the right time and the right price. MRE also provides co-products to help local farmers and co-ops such as wet distillers grains and corn oil and CCDS.
Job Description
The Office Manager is responsible for the coordination and administration of all office support functions, including the support of implementing policies and procedures, invoicing, filing, ordering inventories, tracking inventory, completing monthly reports, and assisting with human resource duties.
Day-to-day job duties include:
Reading and routing incoming mail, locating and attaching appropriate files to assist employer in dealing with correspondence.
Organizing and maintaining file systems—filing correspondence, reports, and other records.
Preparing outgoing mail and correspondence in a timely manner, including e-mail, FedEx, and faxes.
Assisting with ordering and maintaining office supplies, working within the defined budget.
Working with Plant team to facilitate meeting setup, documentation, and follow up to promote organizational effectiveness.
Assisting management in developing, implementing and maintaining financial policies.
Completing any and all tasks assigned by the upper management.
Tracking and ordering inventory and other supplies for the plant.
Purchase order, packing list, pallet label, SDS, COA, and Quality Control documents.
Maintaining documentation for each Customer and orders placed by those customers.
Assist in packaging of small orders to be shipped out ground level.
Mandatory Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Post-Secondary education and/or technical trade certificate is preferred.
Experience in word processing and basic secretarial skills required.
Excellent communications skills required.
Excellent teamwork and multi-tasking abilities required.
Excellent attention to detail.
Experience with Excel a must.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum five years of administrative or office experience preferred.
Human Resource experience preferred.
Experience with the ISO Quality Management System.
