Managing Wealth Advisor Rochester, NYJK Executive Strategies is partnering with a respected independent wealth management firm affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services to recruit a Managing Wealth Advisor. The firm combines the personalized service and entrepreneurial culture of an independent practice with the resources, technology, and investment platform of one of the industry's leading financial services organizations. This is a unique leadership opportunity for an experienced advisor to maintain a smaller portfolio of key client relationships while helping shape the future of the firm's advisory practice. Working closely with executive leadership, this individual will serve as a trusted resource to fellow advisors, support high-quality financial planning, and help ensure a consistent, exceptional client experience across the advisory team.
Responsibilities: Serve as the lead advisor for a smaller portfolio of key client relationships, delivering comprehensive financial planning and personalized wealth management advice. Serve as a trusted resource to fellow advisors by providing guidance on financial planning strategies, complex client situations, and best practices. Review financial plans and recommendations to promote quality, consistency, fiduciary alignment, and an exceptional client experience. Partner with executive leadership to strengthen planning standards, advisor success, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support advisor onboarding, coaching, and ongoing professional development. Collaborate with the investment, operations, planning, and client service teams to ensure coordinated execution across the advisory practice. Participate in the firm's Investment Committee, contributing to investment strategy and planning discussions. Maintain all required licenses and registrations while ensuring compliance with FINRA, SEC, Raymond James, and firm policies.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. CFP® designation required; CPWA®, AIF®, AEP®, CFA®, or other advanced professional designation preferred. FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 required; Series 24 preferred. Ten or more years of experience in wealth management and comprehensive financial planning. Demonstrated experience mentoring advisors, providing technical leadership, or promoting planning quality within a financial advisory practice. Deep knowledge of fiduciary financial planning, investment management, and regulatory requirements. Strong leadership, communication, relationship management, analytical, and organizational skills.
