Job Description
Job Summary:
The Parts Runner will be responsible for supporting our HVAC, Electrical and service teams by delivering tools, materials, and equipment to job sites and technicians throughout the workday. This role plays a vital part in keeping projects on schedule by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of parts from the warehouse or supply houses. The ideal candidate is organized, punctual, and has a strong sense of urgency. Knowledge of HVAC and electrical components is a plus, along with a clean driving record and the ability to safely load and unload materials. This includes loading/unloading trucks, delivering tilt trucks, general cleaning in shop, correctly tying down truck loads, ability to adapt to change depending on the day, and keeping open communication with warehouse manager.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead by example and comply with all Ables safety and environmental requirements, policies, and procedures, including the Ables Vision, Mission and Values
- Embrace and promote the Ables culture in all day-to-day activities: foster and promote a positive, respectful work environment that is aligned with Ables values
- Ensure customer requirements are achieved
Cleaning upPolice property grounds and buildings to pick up all trash and debris, daily.
Sweeping warehouse floors as needed
Deliver parts as needed in a timely manner
To all field employees
Deliver any returns as needed
Supply House Pick ups
Assisting the warehouse manager, and warehouse clerks with any assigned duties as needed
Checking in all materials
TaggingPutting away on shelves
Ensure tools are inspected, operational and clean
Ensure all Fleet vehicles are put away and locked at the end of each day
Check and make sure all Conex’s are locked at the end of each day
Assist warehouse clerk in ensuring bull pens are locked each day
Maintain good attitude no matter the job duties assigned during a given day
Remain self-aware and understand the importance of being on time
Do what is needed to complete all tasks to ensure a high functioning warehouse
Maintain gang boxes to be sent out to the next job
Tool Room Organization
Qualification/Skills/Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license requiredHS Diploma or GED preferred
- Light mechanical knowledge
- Ability to operate a sit-down forklift
- Ability to pull/back-up a trailer
- Good time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- FlexibilityTeam player
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be 21+Travel:90% of the time is expected to be traveling within the Ables customer demographic
