About the Position: MEDIQUS is a boutique, SEC-registered, fee-based Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) located near O’Hare Airport. We provide wealth management services to physicians, medical professionals, and medical specialty societies.  We are seeking a financial and investment planning associate to join our growing team and play a meaningful role in the next chapter of our firm's success. With nearly $1.5 billion in assets under management and continued momentum, this is a unique opportunity to join an established yet entrepreneurial organization where talented professionals can make an immediate and visible impact. This is a full-time position designed as a career-track opportunity, with increasing responsibility as your knowledge, skills and experience develop. We offer a limited hybrid work environment (4 days in office, 1 day remote), a small-office setting (10 team members), and opportunities for professional education and advancement.
Initial Responsibilities: Working with the Financial & Investment Strategy team, your initial responsibilities will include: Preparing and maintaining client reports and financial planning materials Assisting with the preparation and development of financial plans Conducting research on investment, financial planning and client-specific issues Gathering, organizing and analyzing client financial information Assisting advisors with client projects and meeting preparation Learning and applying the firm's financial planning and investment processes Supporting the Vice President of Financial & Investment Strategy Performing other projects and responsibilities as needed Career Development As your knowledge and experience grow, the position will evolve to include greater responsibility for developing financial plans, presenting planning recommendations, and communicating directly with clients. This opportunity is well suited for someone who wants to build a long-term career in financial planning and wealth management rather than remain solely in an administrative or support role.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree requiredCFP® candidate or interest in pursuing the CFP® designation preferred Prior experience in financial services, financial planning or a similar role preferred, but not required Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures Ability to take direction, learn quickly, and work independently Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Familiarity with financial planning and investment technology, such as Money Guide, YCharts and Morningstar is a plus The Individual We Are Seeking We are looking for someone who is: Professional, personable and comfortable working with clients Curious and interested in learning Dependable and accountable Detail-oriented without losing sight of the big picture Comfortable working in a small-team environment Interested in developing the skills necessary to become a financial advisor and a trusted client resource Compensation Competitive compensation based on qualifications, skills and experience.
