Company Overview:
We are supporting a rapidly growing organization within the power generation industry that specializes in maintenance, repair, overhaul, and aftermarket solutions for steam and gas turbine equipment.
The organization is entering a significant period of growth over the next five years and is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Sales Director to lead and develop its sales organization. The ideal candidate will have experience building customer relationships within the power generation industry, developing sales teams, and achieving aggressive revenue and performance goals.
This position is based onsite in Cape Coral, FL, with approximately 25% travel, including regular travel to Melrose Park, IL.
Position Summary:
The Sales Director will oversee day-to-day sales activities across service, repair, and aftermarket parts/manufacturing solutions. This position will be responsible for revenue growth, customer relationship development, and execution of the overall sales strategy.
The Sales Director will provide leadership to sales managers and account managers while ensuring the organization consistently achieves its sales objectives, KPIs, and customer satisfaction goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute the overall sales strategy for turbine service, repair, and aftermarket parts/manufacturing solutions.
Drive order intake and revenue growth across all business areas.
Develop sales plans, forecasts, and performance reports for senior leadership.
Monitor pipeline health, close rates, revenue performance, and forecast accuracy.
Lead monthly sales meetings, quarterly objectives, target opportunity reviews, and key account reviews.
Ensure sales managers consistently achieve established KPIs and revenue goals.
Customer & Account Management
Build and maintain relationships with key customers throughout the power generation industry.
Support sales managers and account managers with strategic customer interactions.
Develop existing accounts and identify opportunities for year-over-year growth.
Maintain a strong understanding of customer maintenance, repair, and operational needs.
Drive revenue growth across turbine services, repairs, and aftermarket manufacturing.
Develop strategies that encourage cross-selling between business areas.
Identify new opportunities within the existing installed equipment base and emerging markets.
Participate in sales strategy, bid reviews, and customer negotiations for large or complex projects.
Lead and develop managers responsible for inside sales, outside sales, and parts teams.
Establish clear performance expectations and hold managers accountable for team results.
Recruit, train, mentor, and develop sales leadership and account management personnel.
Lead onboarding and continuous sales development initiatives.
Build a high-performing sales organization capable of supporting aggressive company growth over the next five years.
Required Qualifications: Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background is beneficial within technical service environments.
Experience
5+ years of sales management experience within the steam and/or gas turbine MRO industry.
Strong understanding of gas and steam turbine equipment, services, repairs, and aftermarket parts.
Proven experience leading sales teams and managers.
Demonstrated success achieving revenue targets and KPIs.
Experience managing complex technical sales cycles and aftermarket/service sales.
Candidates with relevant aviation industry experience may also be considered.

Experience:
Gas or Steam turbine : 5 years (Preferred)
Managing Sales: 5 years (Preferred)
