Join Our TeamWe are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Operations Coordinator to join our global logistics team in Miami. This role is ideal for a logistics professional with strong freight forwarding expertise who thrives in a fast-paced international environment. You will play a key role in planning, executing, and optimizing multimodal commodity shipments while ensuring exceptional service for clients and logistics partners worldwide.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Plan and execute multimodal shipments, with a strong focus on ocean freight operations
- Monitor shipments from origin to destination, proactively resolving delays and operational issues
- Coordinate with carriers, port operators, customs brokers, and other logistics partners
- Manage shipping documentation and ensure compliance with international trade regulations
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers and logistics service providers
- Support carrier negotiations and evaluate service performance to optimize cost and service levels
- Provide clients with regular shipment updates and resolve operational inquiries promptly
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Trading, Finance, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless execution
- Utilize Cargoo TMS and Microsoft Dynamics ERP for shipment management and documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company policies, shipping regulations, and industry best practices
- Who We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Alternatively, 4-5 years of relevant logistics and freight forwarding experience
- Strong experience in ocean freight forwarding and multimodal transportation
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs processes, and Incoterms
- Experience working with Transport Management Systems (TMS), preferably Cargoo
- Experience using ERP platforms, preferably Microsoft Dynamics
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Fluent English and Spanish, both written and spoken
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
- Professional logistics or freight forwarding certifications are an advantage
