The Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing Assembler will perform a combination of duties in the final assembly of components according to specifications, using hand and power tools, wiring diagrams, and following verbal and tablet instructions. Given the complex nature of the products, there will be significant hands-on training and interaction with various Magna-Power teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Using hand and power tools to secure assemblies to chassis and connect them using wire harnesses
- Working in a push line or batch process to combine tasks, reduce tool changes, and effectively maximize labor efforts
- Using wire splicing and crimping tools to complete various wire harnesses
- Following established work instructions provided verbally, visually, and following tablet-based work instructions
- Reading work orders and following bill of materials and bill of operations
- Assemble electro-mechanical products
- Education & Skills Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (Required); 4 year degree or combination of education and experience (Preferred)
- Minimum 1-2 years related experience and/or training (Required); Mechanical experience (Preferred)
- Good mechanical aptitude and accurate use of various hand and power tools, and tabletop tools related to manufacturing of electronic components and wire assembly (Required)
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures and experience with electrical wiring, crimping and blue print reading (Required)
- Knowledge and understanding of BOMs, assembly drawings and any other related manufacturing documents is (Preferred)
- Knowledge in performing crimping, soldering, and assembly (Preferred)
