About the role

Job Description: Internalize and customize prepared dance curriculum to deliver high-quality, age-appropriate movement instruction to students in grades K–5 on a regular basis. Assess and document student growth in dance skills and artistic development; adjust instructional approach at the class-wide, small group, and individual level in response to student progress. Create an inclusive, joyful studio culture that honors each student's individual learning style while maintaining high expectations for participation, effort, and respect. Model and reinforce Innova's CREATE values through dance instruction, using the art form as a vehicle for building confidence, discipline, and collaboration in young learners. Cultivate positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues; communicate regularly with parents and classroom teachers to support the whole child. Collaborate with the instructional team to connect dance concepts to broader academic learning and contribute to school-wide performances, events, and community showcases.
Qualifications: College Diploma in relevant course of study and/or work experience to demonstrate expertise in K-5 grade education. NYS Teaching Certification or working towards attaining such certification.
