A leading food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced EHS Construction Expansion Manager to support the expansion of two critical production facilities in Fremont, Ohio. This person will play a highly visible leadership role, driving environmental, health, and safety excellence throughout the full project lifecycle. The position offers the opportunity to shape site-wide safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and influence long-term operational success. The Role:
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs across major facility expansion projects. Serve as the key EHS advisor to project and operational leadership, providing guidance on compliance, risk management, and industry best practices. Conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections, and incident investigations, while driving corrective and preventive actions. Partner with project, operations, and cross-functional teams to integrate EHS principles into planning, execution, and day-to-day site activities. Monitor EHS performance metrics, deliver training, manage regulatory documentation, and foster a proactive culture of safety and environmental responsibility. Ability to travel 50% of time. The Candidate Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. Minimum of 7 years of progressive EHS experience, including involvement with large capital projects, construction, or manufacturing environments. Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and industrial safety regulations, with a demonstrated track record of ensuring compliance and reducing risk. Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, drive cultural change, and collaborate effectively across multiple teams. Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are preferred; willingness to travel up to 50% and support project demands as needed.
