Responsibilities: An SLP working contract through Elite Medical Staffing at a skilled nursing facility may be expected to: Utilize EMRto record patients' medical information and vital signs Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address identified communication and swallowing needs Provide speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing therapy based on resident needs and treatment goals Assess swallowing function and recommend appropriate dietary modifications and swallowing strategies Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical findings and goals Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and communication strategies Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and resident outcomes Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active SLP license Minimum 1 year of experience working in skilled nursing Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations Credentials Required Active and unencumberedWA SLP License Government-Issued Photo ID or PassportCPR/BLSResume Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement About Elite Medical Staffing Elite Medical Staffing is a healthcare staffing agency connecting experienced nursing and allied healthcare professionals with flexible, high-paying opportunities.
