This is a hands-on, embedded role: you'll sit with our client's team, build strong working relationships across both organizations, and own the process of getting new accounts fully set up, informed, and running smoothly. You'll be the go-to person for tracking what each new account needs, chasing down open items, and keeping both sides aligned on timelines and expectations. This role suits someone who thrives on organization and follow-through, communicates clearly and confidently with people at every level, and takes genuine ownership of the accounts and relationships in their care.ACCOUNT MANAGER, CLIENT ONBOARDING & INTEGRATION RESPONSIBILITIESServe as the primary point of contact for client onboarding, building and maintaining strong working relationships across both organizations. Own the end-to-end onboarding checklist for each new account, prioritizing what's truly needed up front versus what can follow later. Communicate with clients throughout the process to gather input, understand all parties' expectations, and shape effective communication plans, handoffs, and stage gates. Attend relevant client and internal meetings regularly to stay current on account status, timelines, and priorities, and to catch issues in real time rather than after the fact. Proactively reach out to internal and client-side teams to gather needed information, rather than waiting for it to be sent. Resolve routine onboarding tasks directly wherever possible, escalating only the items that are genuinely stuck, and always with a clear, specific ask. Track key deadlines and milestones across active accounts, escalate issues, and update plans and timelines as circumstances change. Maintain a clear, up-to-date view of commitments made to and by each account, so nothing gets missed or forgotten. Keep a shared calendar/reference of standing meetings and touch points between the two teams and recommend changes when a meeting isn't adding value or a gap needs to be filled. Partner with Program Managers to ensure they're getting the information they need for a successful close. Educate points of contact and stakeholders on strategy and uphold adherence to and adopt established guidance. Develop a thorough understanding of the business to uncover opportunities for improvement, identify new opportunities, and respond to ad hoc requests as they arise. Contribute to building reusable tools over time — standard onboarding checklists, templates, and process documentation that make future onboarding faster and more consistent. Provide regular status reporting and guidance to leadership on account health, risks, and progress. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 2–5 years of experience in account management, client services, project/program coordination, or a related client-facing role. Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility across different teams and organizations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort delivering direct updates and escalating issues to senior stakeholders. Proven ability to manage multiple accounts, projects, or workstreams simultaneously without dropping details. Strong organizational skills and comfort working independently in ambiguous or fast-changing situations. Willingness to work on-site/embedded with a partner or client team on a regular basis. Proficiency with common productivity, CRM, or project-tracking tools (e.g., Excel/Sheets, JIRA, Confluence, Salesforce). Preferred QualificationsExperience in financial services, energy, infrastructure, or another asset- or transaction-heavy industry. Prior experience with client onboarding, account transitions, or post-acquisition/M&A integration. Familiarity with service transition or asset management agreements (e.g., TSAs, AMAs) and related documentation. Background in accounting, finance, or transaction support sufficient to recognize issues that need specialist input. Experience operating across two organizations or cultures (e.g., client/vendor, acquirer/portfolio company) and building trust on both sides. Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or equivalent training. A track record of taking on responsibility beyond your title or tenure and delivering results. worKing conditionsOpen-office environment physical requirementsExtended period of time working at a computer workstation BenefitsSunStrong Management offers a rich and affordable Health & Wellness Benefits package that includes: PPO and HDHP Medical Plans, buy-up plans for both Dental and Vision, ancillaries such as Accident, Critical illness, Hospital indemnity, Employer sponsored Short Term and Long-Term Disability, Voluntary Life, and Legal services along with multiple add-ons. Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
