About the role

Institution: Fintech for Financial Institutions Role: Client Success & Account Manager – Founding Team
Location: Remote (US), requires frequent travel
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 + performance-based variable compensation
About the Company: Our client is a Fin Tech start-up helping credit unions and community banks build relationships with the next generation of members. Their white-labeled teen banking app pairs a real debit account – with allowance, budgeting tools, savings rewards, and parental controls – with a nationally accredited high school financial literacy curriculum that schools use for free. Financial institutions put their own brand on the app, card, and curriculum, keep the deposits and interchange, and reach local families through the company’s network of 2,200+ high schools.
The Role: They are looking for a Client Success & Account Manager to be the founding member of their client-facing team. This person will be the trusted face of the company to its financial institution partners. They will join each relationship just before contract negotiations, help shape the agreement and operational alignment, and own the partnership once it is signed. Technical implementation and app/tech support are handled by dedicated teams, so this role focuses on the relationship, coordination, and partner success. This is a ground-floor opportunity. They plan to add 2–3 more people to the team over the next two years, giving this person a clear path to leading the Client Success function.
What You’ll Do: The Client Success & Account Manager will Build the Client Success playbook from the ground up, including processes, documentation, and best practices that will scale as the team grows Join new credit union and community bank relationships ahead of contract negotiations, taking part in contract discussions and aligning on operational expectations and launch plans Take ownership of each partnership, serving as the main point of contact between the company’s internal team and the partner institution’s team Coordinate partner launches, working with internal product, technical implementation, and support teams to keep timelines, deliverables, and stakeholders on track Build credible, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders at partner institutions, from executives to marketing and operations leaders Lead regular check-ins and business reviews, tracking partner health, results, and opportunities for expansion Serve as the escalation point for client issues, routing app and technical questions to the support team and closing the loop with the client Travel regularly to partner sites, conferences, and industry events What They’re Looking For They’re looking for someone who Has a background in banking or financial services, ideally having worked at or with credit unions or community banks Speaks the language of financial institutions fluently (deposits, interchange, member growth, core and digital banking providers, compliance) and earns credibility quickly with senior stakeholders Has 2+ years of experience in account management, client success, relationship management, or client support Is comfortable taking part in contract and commercial conversations alongside leadership Is highly organized and can coordinate cross-functional teams across several partner relationships at once Communicates clearly and confidently, in writing and in person, and is polished in front of executives Is excited to be a founding team member at an early-stage company: thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership, and wants to grow into a leadership role

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
