About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Planning Consultant to support our annual tax planning initiative on a project basis. This individual will work closely with financial advisors, planners, and client service teams to develop and deliver comprehensive tax planning analyses. The ideal candidate will possess both CPA and CFP® certifications, have a strong understanding of advanced income tax strategies, retirement planning, estate planning, and wealth management concepts.
Key Responsibilities: Analyze client tax returns and financial planning data to identify tax-saving opportunities. Develop customized annual tax planning recommendations. Collaborate with financial advisors to integrate tax strategies into broader financial plans. Prepare written tax planning summaries and deliverables for advisors and clients. Review planning recommendations for technical accuracy and compliance with applicable tax regulations. Participate in advisor meetings as a subject matter expert when appropriate. Stay informed on federal, state, and local tax law changes impacting affluent clients.
Required Qualifications:
  • Active CPA license in good standing.
  • Active CFP® certification.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in tax planning, wealth management, public accounting, or a family office environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of:
  • Individual income taxation
  • Retirement planning
  • Estate and gift tax planning
  • Trust taxation
  • Executive compensation and equity compensation planning
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client analyses simultaneously.
Compensation: Starting at $50 an hour. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
