About the role
As a senior technical authority, the full-time remote Databricks Administrator will manage the administration, security, governance, and performance of an enterprise Databricks environment, supporting federal analytics workloads through hands-on platform administration and automation.
Key responsibilities:
Administer Databricks workspaces, SQL warehouses, and platform configurations to ensure optimal performance and security
Implement and manage Unity Catalog governance, access controls, and secure data sharing for large analytical workloads
Automate platform provisioning and administration using tools such as Terraform and Databricks APIs, while monitoring platform health and troubleshooting issues
Required qualifications:
US Citizenship required and must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
10+ years of experience in database, data platform, or cloud infrastructure, with significant hands-on Databricks administration experience
Expert knowledge of Databricks administration, SQL, Delta Lake, and performance optimization
Strong experience with AWS, IAM, Terraform, and enterprise data governance practices
