About the role
Quality Control Inspector The company is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for 1st shift to ensure that parts and products meet all compliance standards and quality requirements. This role involves gathering parts directly from the machine production line, transporting them to the lab for inspection, and using blueprints and tools to visually inspect for any defects. The Quality Control Inspector will manually record inspection results and use a computer for documentation. This role also involves preparing wall charts, filing microfilm, and assisting with other duties in different departments as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Gather parts/products from the production line and transport them to the lab for inspection
- Use blueprints and precision tools to visually inspect parts for defects and ensure they meet compliance standards
- Record inspection results manually with pen and paper and input data using a computer
- Prepare wall charts and file microfilm as part of quality documentation
- Assist other departments with duties as required
- Perform quality checks using precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers
Qualifications:
- Previous quality inspection experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience using precision instruments like micrometers and calipers
- Good vision for detailed inspection work
- Basic math skills
- Strong communication skills with legible handwriting
- Ability to gather parts from the production line and perform inspections in a lab setting
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Good vision for detailed inspections
