Bill's Carpet Center is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Accounts Payable Specialist/CFO Assistant to join our team in Rochester, NY. This is a unique dual-role opportunity where you'll help keep our financials running smoothly while working directly alongside company leadership. Responsibilities:
- Process and manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, and payment processing
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assist the CFO with financial reporting, budgeting, and data analysis
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth payment workflows
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare expense reports and assist with cash flow monitoring
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a related finance role
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Desktop accounting software and Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and financial processing
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and executive leadership
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
