Revelation has multiple ongoing programs to evaluate Gemini as a treatment for acute kidney injury, a treatment of chronic kidney disease, prevention of post-surgical infection, and a treatment to reduce hyperinflammation and infection associated with severe burn.
Role Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager Consultant to join our team. The Accounting Manager will be primarily responsible for the month-end close process, journal entry preparation and review, quarterly financial statement preparation, and tax reporting preparation. The Accounting Manager must have exceptional attention to detail, be self-motivated, and have an outstanding work ethic. This position requires a strong background in public company reporting (GAAP/SEC/SOX) and the ability to review and mentor junior accounting staff. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, strong technical accounting competence, be able to work with cross-functional teams, and be a results-oriented professional. Duties/Responsibilities Review and/or prepare journal entries, including supporting calculations, across various accounts, such as payroll, R&D and G&A accruals, AP cutoff, warrant liabilities, prepaids, and fixed assets. Perform month-end Balance Sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving all discrepancies promptly. Prepare, process, and record JEs for SBC granted and subsequent vesting. Evaluate and calculate accounting memos and related JEs for any new financings, including recording of related effects on Equity such as par value and APIC.Review and/or prepare monthly journal entries for P&L divisions and class allocations. Prepare reconciliation of equity related accounts [KJ1] and calculate Basic and Diluted EPS.Prepare and/or review GL, Balance Sheet, and P&L (MD&A) flux analyses with detailed explanations for variances compared to prior periods. Ensure all general ledger activities and account reconciliations are performed in compliance with US GAAP.Prepare and/or review the Financial Statement Consolidation workbook (BS, SOO, SOSE, SOCF) and SEC reporting and 10-Q/K tie-out workbooks. Draft, circulate for review, and update Form 10-Q/K.Assist in completing the Quarterly Disclosure Checklists (GAAP, SEC & ICFR).Evaluate new accounting pronouncements & SAB 74 disclosure requirements. Assist coordination with tax accountants and review t[KJ2] he annual income tax provisions, 1099s, and other tax reporting or compliance requirements. Assist with external audit requests, including preparing any required supporting schedules and documentation. Follow, improve, and enforce comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs).Actively participate in the maintenance and optimization of the company's accounting and finance software and other financial tools, focusing on streamlining the close process. Skills/Abilities Strong technical accounting knowledge with proficiency in US GAAP, SEC reporting (10-Q/K), and financial statement preparation. Experience with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Bill.com), Excel (e.g., pivot tables, XLOOKUP), Active Disclosure (or similar SEC reporting software), and equity administration platforms. Proficiency in variance analysis. Ability to multitask in a busy work environment. Willingness to help out wherever needed and across all departments. Detail-oriented, strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams, auditors, and management. Education / Certifications / Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.5-7+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance roles, including managerial or supervisory experience. Experience in a publicly traded company required. Experience in the Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical industry preferred. Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus.[KJ1]I wouldn’t limit it to retained earnings. Either remove retained earnings or say all equity accounts (i.e. common stock, APIC, retained earnings.[KJ2]I don’t think we plan to complete this internally, I would change to say assist in the coordination and review?
