About the role

Intercollegiate Athletics Transportation This is a temporary, part-time, on-call position to support Intercollegiate Athletics. The number of hours per month will vary according to the needs of the department. Employee must be flexible to accommodate the hours required by the department for team travel. Responsibilities include ensuring that the bus is in good working condition, providing safe, timely, and reliable transportation, responding appropriately to the instructions of the team's head coach or the designated trip supervisor, refueling the bus, reporting mechanical issues, following traffic regulations, completing required paperwork, maintaining the vehicle, and performing related work as required. Required qualifications include a high school degree or equivalent, a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, a valid United States Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) endorsement, a current DOT physical, passing a pre-employment drug test, and at least 10 years of experience driving a vehicle. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include the ability to drive large, multi-passenger vehicles, use discretion and maintain confidentiality, work independently, lift 50 pounds, operate equipment in a legal and safe manner, and possess knowledge of traffic rules and regulations, as well as skills in oral and written communication.
