Role summary: The Senior Manager, Connected Home Product Development, leads the strategy, development, and commercialization of innovativeconnected home hardware products. This role owns the full product lifecycle, from concept and market assessment through launch and post-launch optimization. The ideal candidate bringsproven experience developing connected home consumer hardware productsand driving cross-functional collaboration across engineering, merchandising, sourcing, supply chain, and brand teams. Responsible for delivering customer-focused solutions, this leader applies market insights, product strategy, and project management expertise to accelerate innovation, drive business growth, and bring high-quality products to market that strengthen competitive advantage and customer loyalty.
About the Team: Our team specializes in developing innovative, high-qualityconnected home productsthat create seamless, intuitive, and trusted experiences for customers. We lead hardware development from concept to commercialization by combining consumer insights, product strategy, and engineering expertise to deliver products that enhance everyday living. Collaborating cross-functionally with Merchandising, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Packaging, Brand Strategy, Quality, and Consumer Insights, we create products that balance innovation, reliability, accessibility, and value. The team requires experience inconnected home product development, including hardware design, connectivity technologies, ecosystem integration, engineering, and product lifecycle management, to consistently exceed customer expectations and drive category growth. Examples of product categories may include:smart speakers, smart displays, cameras, video doorbells, security devices, lighting, sensors, smart plugs, hubs, and emerging connected home technologies.
What you'll do: Lead the end-to-end product development process, ensuring alignment with business strategies and market demands. Manage cross-functional teams to drive new product development and lifecycle management initiatives. Develop and implement product strategies based on comprehensive market research and competitive analysis. Oversee project management activities to ensure timely delivery and quality standards. Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate product vision, progress, and outcomes effectively. Monitor product performance and recommend improvements to maximize market impact and profitability.
What you'll bring: Proven expertise in project management and cross-functional collaboration to drive product development initiatives. Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management and new product development processes. Ability to develop and execute effective product strategies aligned with business objectives. Experience conducting market research to inform product decisions and identify growth opportunities. Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders and lead teams effectively. Demonstrated capability in applying business strategies to enhance product performance and market positioning. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Design, or related field and 4 years’ experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related area.
