About the role
Our book, Entrepreneur Like a Mother (Wiley), launched September 22 and hit the USA Today bestseller list. Now we need someone to get it into the right rooms: law firm women's initiatives, bank ERGs, professional associations, and book clubs. This is a part time, remote role built on cold outreach and relentless follow-up.
What you'll do:
• Build and maintain a target list of women's initiatives, ERGs, and affinity networks at Am Law 200 firms, banks, and financial services companies, plus professional associations, alumni groups, and book clubs.• Find the real decision maker (partner sponsor, professional development lead, ERG chair, event programmer) and learn when they plan their calendar.• Write and send personalized cold emails and Linked In messages. Follow up until you get a yes or a no.• Pitch two offers: me as a keynote, fireside chat, or panel speaker, and bulk book purchases for events, book clubs, and client gifting.• Run the details once a booking lands: dates, fees, contracts, AV, book orders, and logistics.• Track every contact and outcome in a shared pipeline. Send me a short written update each week.
What you bring:
• 2+ years in at least one of these: speaker booking or a speakers bureau, ERG or women's initiative programming, law firm or bank business development or professional development, publishing special sales or author publicity.• Proof you can cold pitch and get answers. You'll be asked for an example.• A working understanding of how law firms and banks are organized and who controls programming budgets.• Short, clean writing. Your emails get read because they get to the point.• Comfort working on your own with a weekly check-in.
Nice to have:
• Existing relationships with women's networks at law firms, banks, or professional associations.• Experience with bulk book orders or corporate reading programs.• Familiarity with Hub Spot, Airtable, or a similar CRM.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
