About the role
- 6–8+ years of progressive, hands-on project management experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects in non-profit, educational, tech, or public sector environments.
- Demonstrated track record serving as a key external point of contact for high-value funders, government grantors, or corporate partners.
- Deep experience establishing Project Management frameworks, tracking systems, and digital collaboration tools across distributed teams.
- Proven track record in project financial tracking, budget oversight, time-tracking implementation, and funder report writing.
- Mastery of project management methodologies (PMI/PMP standards, Agile, or hybrid models) practical for fast-paced, non-profit or social impact environments.
- Technical fluency in modern project management platforms (Monday.com, Asana, Trello, ClickUp) and workflow automation.
- Solid understanding of Canadian non-profit funding models, grant reporting cycles, and partner compliance expectations is considered an asset.
- Bilingual (English/French) is required with fluent, professional-level written and verbal communication in both languages.
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills; comfortable pitching, negotiating, and presenting to executive-level external partners.
- Pragmatic problem-solving capability; able to de-escalate partner concerns quickly with clear, executable action plans.
- Strong written communication and storytelling skills—able to break down complex projects, provide necessary context, and write clear, compelling funder reports, progress updates, meeting notes, and contribute to renewal proposals.
- Advanced financial acumen with proficiency in tracking project burn rates, budget variance, and resource allocation.
- Natural relationship-builder & professional—approachable, diplomatic, and articulate when engaging external funders and internal teammates alike.
- Proactive "doer" & problem-solver—energized by tackling operational friction, taking ownership of tasks, and getting cross-functional deliverables over the finish line.
- High degree of business acumen with a relentless focus on precision, execution, and quality control.
- Strong narrative thinker—possesses the clarity of thought and writing discipline to explain the "why" and "so what" behind project milestones, ensuring external partners grasp the full context of our work.
