Job Description: Job Description NOW HIRING - WELDERS (GSE) / DIRECT HIRE Willing to train on Aluminum Welds $23-$28/HR W/ SHIFT PREMIUM3rd Shift: 10:00 PM-6:00 AM Overtime Available Daily Catered FREE Lunch Provided! We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Welders (GSE) to join our team! This position is responsible for laying out, fitting, and welding fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, and aircraft ground support equipment. The successful candidate will be able to interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and schematics to determine the appropriate welding process and inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness. Candidates must be familiar with and comply with all safety requirements and protocols to work safely.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding.• Client out, position, align, and fit components together.• Weld parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment.• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
QUALIFICATIONS: • High School Diploma or equivalent required.• 0 years of experience required with an Associate Degree or technical schooling, OR 1 year of related work experience.• Successfully pass the company's hands-on weld test.• Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.• Ability to use a torpedo level, combination square, hammer, Allen wrench, and adjustable wrench.• Ability to certify on steel and aluminum using the MIG welding process in the 3G position, vertical up, and on steel in the vertical down 3G position.• Meet company expectations for welder efficiency and quality standards.• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and/or decimals.• Ability to use the Internet and manufacturing software.• Willing to train on aluminum!
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must be able to:• Stand for up to 10 hours per day.• Client on their back for extended periods while welding.• Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.• Weld with arms extended for extended periods of time.• Bend and stoop frequently.• Work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.• Follow all safety requirements.• Work in a hot environment while wearing protective gear.• Work in small areas to perform required work.• Frequently climb step ladders and work platforms.
