About the role

International Deadline: November 15, 2026 – Artists with experience with outdoor sites are invited to pre-qualify to create art for multi-disciplinary installation that will interpret the history of the Holocaust and the post-Holocaust stories of survivors. Installation will include contemporary art, archival photography, testimonies and poetry plus video kiosks. Sculptors with professional experience may submit qualifications to design for an outdoor Holocaust Memorial and Education Center in Sarasota, Florida. Themes are (1) Resistance in its various forms in ghettos and camps, (2) Resilience of survivors post war and (3) a 3D design that includes family snapshots of survivors and their descendants. Staff will assist with research. BUDGET A small panel of art experts will review submissions. Design honorariums are available for site specific concept creation and a design contract will be executed for full design development of commissioned conceptual designs. Budgets range from approximately $100,000 to $200,000. ELIGIBILITY Eligible applicants will: Demonstrate a commitment to their art or design career through a body of work, exhibition, client portfolios, or other analogous professional activities. Have experience with outdoor public art including familiarity with materials suitable for the Florida climate, or indicate members of the design team with this experience and credentials. Demonstrate the ability to design and execute work of similar scale and excellent quality and deliver within fifteen months (maximum, preferably up to twelve) of receiving a contract. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
