About the Company:
American Engineering is adding Summer Interns to our design teams with a strong interest in Land Development who are eager to be part of a growing engineering firm. Not sure exactly what type of civil engineering you want to do? We might be a fit for you. We don't pigeon-hole our staff, especially our new grads. You may get a chance to work on a variety of project types. We have reasonable expectations of our interns. We stress collaboration and sharing of teammates between our departments.
About the Role:
New staff will be part of engineering design teams in Land Development or Municipal / Infrastructure Departments or transportation.
Responsibilities:
Embrace the hands-on American Academy training program Have an intellectual curiosity Ask a lot of questions of the numerous PEs on the team Work on a variety of project types Collaborate and share with teammates between departments
Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or something similar Minoring or Interest in land development or water / wastewater or transportation Graduating Class of 2027 or Class of 2028 No experience necessary but relevant internship experience highly encouraged. Must be willing to commute or relocate to the Charlotte, NC region. This role is on-site.
Required Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred Skills: Introduced to software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D
