About the role
Packaging Specialist / Machine Operator A growing, family-owned food manufacturer is seeking a Packaging Specialist / Machine Operator to safely and efficiently operate packaging equipment while ensuring products meet production schedules, labeling requirements, and customer and make routine adjustments to packaging equipment. Follow production schedules and stage labels, packaging materials, and supplies. Train and assist employees with packing procedures and machine pallet tags and verify accurate product labeling. Transport finished pallets to coolers/freezers. Complete Pick Tickets, Label Verification Forms, and production records. Follow food safety, quality, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
Food manufacturing, production, or packaging experience preferred.
Machine operation experience highly valued.
Knowledge of food safety and proper food handling.
Ability to operate or become certified on a pallet jack.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and dependability.
