Role Description: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing all financial activities and ensuring the long-term financial health of Mosinee Cold Storage. The CFO will lead financial planning and budgeting processes, manage cash flow, and guide investment and cost-optimization decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, overseeing financial reporting, monitoring key performance indicators, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role also involves partnering with the leadership team on strategic initiatives, providing analytical insights to support business decisions, and advising on risk management and capital allocation. The CFO will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including accounting staff, auditors, and banking partners, while maintaining clear, timely communication on financial performance and projections.
Qualifications: Strong skills in Finance and Financial Planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Proficiency in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting Financial Statements and Financial Reporting. Advanced Analytical Skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations. Experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably as a CFO or equivalent in a small to mid-sized company. Solid knowledge of GAAP and relevant regulatory and compliance requirements. High level of integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to ethical financial practices. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, part-time capacity. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; CPA, MBA, or similar advanced credential is preferred. Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or food/dairy industry environments is beneficial.
