Position Overview: The RBT supports students with behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs in a school setting. The role focuses on implementing behavior strategies, supporting positive student outcomes, and helping students access their educational environment.
Key Responsibilities: Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and individualized behavior strategies. Provide direct 1:1 and/or small-group student support. Support self-regulation, transitions, and classroom participation. Use positive behavior supports, reinforcement, and de-escalation techniques. Help reduce challenging behaviors and increase appropriate replacement behaviors. Collect and document behavioral data, including frequency, duration, and intensity. Collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, and related service providers. Support implementation of IEP goals related to behavior, social skills, and functional skills. Assist with crisis prevention and intervention according to district-approved protocols, such as CPI.Maintain a safe and structured environment. Provide feedback to the team regarding student progress and behavioral trends.
