About the role
- Assemble small electrical and mechanical components using hand tools and work instructions
- Perform detailed paint touch-up to correct minor cosmetic defects and ensure parts meet visual quality standards
- Remove masking materials and prepare parts for final inspection
- Visually inspect parts for surface quality, color consistency, and overall workmanship
- Perform light soldering on small, detailed components
- Mix, apply, and cure epoxies and adhesives using taping, fixturing, and oven processes
- Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety and quality procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
- Comply with all DG safety procedures and policies as directed by the Facility Engineer/Safety Director
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Minimum 1 year of experience assembling small parts in a manufacturing setting (electronics or mechanical assembly preferred)
- Experience using hand tools and working with small, detailed components
- Experience working with adhesives, epoxies, or bonding materials
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and work instructions
- Basic computer skills
- Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Preferred but not required:
- Experience performing fine paint touch-up or cosmetic surface correction on parts (highly preferred)
- Background in aerospace or electronic component manufacturing
