Daily Range of Responsibilities of the Dental Hygienist: Remove plaque from and polish a patient's teeth during routine checkups Screen patients Review patient's oral health history and teach appropriate brushing and flossing techniques Use X-ray machines to take pictures of the teeth and develop the film for the dentist's analysis Qualifications of the Dental Hygienist: Associates Degree and graduate from an accredited Dental Hygiene program. Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) within State of practice. CPR certification.
