Senior Staff Accountant Beam Global, www.beamforall.com, NASDAQ BEEM, is a leading provider of innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions for energy storage and security, electrification of mobility, and smart city infrastructure. Beam Global invents and manufactures in San Diego, CA; Yuma, AZ; Chicago, IL; Belgrade and Kraljevo, Serbia; and has an office in Abu Dhabi, UAE. We are looking for a hands-on self-starter in our San Diego headquarters. This is a full-time, exempt, on-site position. The position will report to the Accounting Manager.
Core Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management: Maintain the integrity of accounting data by verifying, allocating, and entering journal entries. Accounts Receivable: Ensure timely invoicing to customers, accurate application of customer payments, and prompt follow-up on past-due accounts. Payroll: Process bi-weekly payroll with ADP software for approximately 50 employees. Account Reconciliations: Perform bank and account reconciliations at each month-end.
Audit & Compliance: Prepare workpapers and schedules assigned. Ensure adherence to internal controls and legal regulations.
Taxation: Prepare sales and use tax calculations and filings. Coordinate with external tax team to prepare workpapers for federal and state tax filings.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with accounting and other departments, such as Sales, Production, and Engineering, to meet manufacturing schedules and support cost control initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Experience:
2 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls. Experience working in a public company preferred. Technical Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros). Hands-on experience with large ERP accounting software, preferred NetSuite.
