Our parish is seeking an accompanist to provide music for Sunday morning Mass. The ability to both cantor and accompany is preferred, but not required.
Requirements Proficiency in piano; organ experience is a plus
Experience accompanying choirs, cantors, or congregational singing
Must be able to accompany the cantor during rehearsals and masses, read sight music and have experience accompanying choirs, cantors and congregational singing.
Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays/Holy Days, as needed (i.e., Christmas and Easter).
Familiarity with Catholic liturgy and sacred music preferred
Dependable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively
Willingness to support the prayerful worship and mission of the Catholic Church
Refrain from promotion or approval of, or the living out of, and conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals.
