This role is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys a consultative selling approach, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to build a long-term career within the technology industry.As a Sales Representative, you will manage a portfolio of accounts, proactively engage customers, identify opportunities for growth, and position innovative IT solutions that deliver meaningful outcomes.What You'll DoConduct 20-25 outbound calls per day to assigned accounts to build relationships and identify business opportunities.Develop and grow existing customer accounts while uncovering new opportunities within your territory.Understand customer needs and recommend IT solutions, services, and programs that deliver value and efficiency.Serve as a trusted advisor by educating customers on Public Sector technology trends and industry best practices.Prepare, present, and manage competitive pricing proposals and quotes.Collaborate with internal teams, vendor partners, and subject matter experts to support customer success.Maintain accurate account activity and pipeline management.Travel occasionally (approximately 2-3 times annually) for customer meetings, industry events, and relationship-building opportunities.What We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsU.S. Citizenship is required.Proven experience in sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing roles.Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated commitment to achieving goals and delivering results.Preferred QualificationsExperience selling technology, IT products, software, hardware, cloud solutions, or related services.Familiarity with Public Sector customers, including State & Local Government, Education, or Federal agencies.Experience managing customer accounts and growing long-term business relationships.Ability to collaborate effectively across sales, operations, and support teams.Success FactorsSelf-motivated, driven, and highly accountable.Coachable and open to feedback and professional development.Curious and eager to learn about emerging technologies and market trends.Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.Comfortable building relationships through proactive outreach and consultative sales conversations.Why Join Ingram Micro Public Sector?Opportunity to sell leading technology solutions into the growing Public Sector market.Collaborative team environment with strong leadership support.Professional growth and career advancement opportunities.Competitive compensation structure with uncapped earning potential.Exposure to industry-leading technology vendors and solutions.Compensation & Work ArrangementHybrid Schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remoteCompensation Plan: Competitive base salary plus commission (70/30 base-to-variable structure)Comprehensive benefits package availableThe typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $44,500.00 - $75,600.00 per year.At Ingram Micro certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives and long-term incentives.
