About the role

Team: Product
Location: Remote
Type: Full-time
Reports to: CTOAbout Data Dive Data Dive is a research platform for Amazon sellers. Our customers are brand owners, agencies, and consultants who use us to size up niches, track keyword rankings, catch wasted ad spend, and figure out what will actually move a listing. They're sophisticated operators making real money decisions, and they expect tools that respect that. The product is dense by nature. Large keyword sets, ranking histories, competitor benchmarks, spend alerts. Most of the design work here is about making a lot of data legible and fast to act on.
The role: We're looking for a senior product designer to own the experience of the app end to end. You'll be the design voice in the room for what we build and how it works, from early problem framing through the pixels that ship. This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You'll work directly with engineering and with whoever is closest to the customer, and you'll ship continuously rather than hand off specs and walk away.
What you'll do: Own product design for our core surfaces: niche research, keyword and ranking views, alerting, and reporting Turn ambiguous problems into clear flows. Talk to customers, watch them work, find where they get stuck. Design data-dense interfaces that stay scannable: tables, filters, time-series charts, comparison views Build and maintain our design system so the app stays coherent as it grows Prototype quickly to pressure-test ideas before they get expensive Stay with engineers through implementation and QA rather than stopping at handoff Push on the details that make a tool feel fast: empty states, loading behavior, error messaging, keyboard paths What we're looking for 5+ years designing software products, including meaningful time on complex, data-heavy tools (analytics, BI, dev tools, fintech, ops software, anything with real substance behind the screens)A portfolio that shows your thinking rather than only final screens. We want to see how you framed the problem and what you tried and discarded. Strong craft in interaction and visual design, and real comfort with information density Fluency in Figma, including components and design system work Working knowledge of front-end constraints, enough to have a productive argument with an engineer about what's feasible. Our stack is React, Type Script, and Tailwind. Comfort operating with limited direction. You'll be defining process as much as following it. Clear written communication. We document our decisions.
Nice to have: Experience with Amazon, e-commerce, or marketplace data Background designing for power users and expert workflows Ability to contribute front-end code Experience designing for AI-assisted or agentic workflows Why you might want this job The scope is real, and you'd be shaping the product rather than styling it after the fact. Our customers use Data Dive daily and tell us exactly what's wrong with it, so feedback loops are short and honest. So is the distance between an idea and a shipped feature, since the team is small and design doesn't go through a committee.
Benefits: Health insurance 401(k)Flexible PTO policy

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
