Enterprise UKG Workforce Management (WFM) Manager

Location: Hybrid – Chicago, IL (approximately 3 days/week onsite)

Travel: Approximately 25%, based on business needs

Salary: $100,000–$125,000+, depending on experience

Employment Type: Full-TimeThe Planet Group is seeking a UKG WFM Manager to join our global manufacturing client. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced UKG Workforce Management professional who can help an organization move beyond implementation and into the next stage of optimization, adoption, and enterprise workforce management maturity. This individual will serve as a UKG WFM subject matter expert and functional consultant, working directly within the platform while partnering with HR, Payroll, Operations, business leaders, managers, and end users. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on UKG configuration expertise with full lifecycle implementation experience, business consulting skills, and the ability to identify opportunities to get greater value from UKG.UKG WFM Manager Responsibilities Serve as a hands-on UKG WFM subject matter expert and functional consultant across multiple business units. Evaluate existing UKG configurations, functionality, processes, and utilization to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. Gather business and functional requirements and translate operational needs into scalable UKG WFM solutions. Design, configure, test, and deploy UKG functionality based on business requirements. Lead or actively participate in full lifecycle UKG WFM implementations, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing/UAT, deployment, go-live, stabilization, and optimization. Troubleshoot UKG configuration and system issues, identify root causes, and develop sustainable solutions. Manage implementation plans, priorities, timelines, dependencies, stakeholders, and issues throughout the project lifecycle. Partner directly with HR, Payroll, Operations, managers, and end users to understand workforce challenges and recommend practical solutions. Challenge existing processes when appropriate and identify opportunities to automate manual work, improve efficiency, and expand the organization's use of UKG.Evaluate workforce processes including scheduling, labor utilization, overtime, attendance, staffing, productivity, and workforce efficiency. Extract and analyze workforce data, identify trends and opportunities, and develop meaningful reports and dashboards. Translate workforce data into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders and leadership. Develop and deliver end-user training, documentation, job aids, and user guides. Support managers, supervisors, HR, Payroll, Operations, and other users through system changes and new functionality. Provide hands-on support during go-lives and post-go-live stabilization. Continuously assess new UKG capabilities and recommend opportunities to improve workforce management processes and business outcomes. Travel to facilities and implementation/go-live locations as business needs require.

UKG WFM Manager Qualifications: Strong hands-on UKG Workforce Management (WFM) experience. Full lifecycle UKG WFM implementation experience with a strong functional/consultative mindset. Hands-on experience with UKG configuration and requirements gathering. Project and/or implementation management experience, including ownership of timelines, stakeholders, issues, testing, and deployment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes. Ability to translate business requirements into practical UKG solutions and explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and business consulting skills. Willingness to work a hybrid schedule in Chicago and travel approximately 25% as business needs require. Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience optimizing existing UKG environments and identifying opportunities to increase platform value is highly preferred. Additional strengths include workforce analytics/reporting, end-user training, manufacturing or similarly complex workforce environments, global WFM experience, Spanish language skills, and leadership experience. Location & TravelThis position will follow a hybrid schedule in downtown Chicago, approximately three days per week onsite. Candidates should be comfortable with potentially increased onsite presence during initial onboarding and training. Travel is estimated at approximately 25% and may include U.S. facilities, implementation and go-live locations, sites requiring hands-on system support, and potentially Mexico.
