Location On-site – Suffern, NYJob Type Contract / Hourly
Position Overview:
Born to Play operates a high‑volume 3D printing facility utilizing Bambu Lab printers and primarily PLA and PETG materials. We are seeking a skilled, hands‑on 3D Printer Technician to ensure maximum equipment uptime to ensure an efficient daily production schedule. In this role, you will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and carry out routine and preventive maintenance across a large fleet of printers. This position is ideal for someone mechanically inclined who enjoys working directly with tools, troubleshooting equipment, and keeping a production environment running efficiently and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
Printer Maintenance & Repair Respond to printers flagged for pause, repair, or maintenance Perform routine and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime Replace worn or failed components (nozzles, extruders, belts, sensors, etc.)Install approved hardware upgrades and system improvements Return printers to service quickly and consistently Apply standardized fixes to recurring maintenance issues across the fleet Production Equipment Support Assist with basic maintenance of packaging equipment or other auxiliary machinery Maintain clean, organized, safe, and functional repair and maintenance areas Tools, Parts & Inventory Manage and maintain tools, spare parts, and replacement components Track part usage and report low inventory or upcoming needs Ensure tools and equipment remain properly maintained and ready for use Qualifications Required Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on technical skills Comfort working with tools and electromechanical systems Ability to follow documented processes and learn new equipment quickly Reliable, organized, and detail‑oriented Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced production environment Ability to work on‑site in Suffern, NYPreferred Experience with Bambu Lab 3D printers (strong plus)Background in maintaining production equipment or machinery Familiarity with common 3D printing maintenance practices Experience in manufacturing, automation, or technical maintenance environments Spanish speaking is a plus Compensation Hourly, contract‑based role
Salary range: $24.00 - $26.50 per hour
