About the role
- Overseeing recruitment, selection, and the onboarding process
- Ensuring that the company's procedures comply with employment regulations
- Setting and reviewing pay structures and employee benefits
- Benefits administration including open enrollment, benefit billing reconciliations, answering employee questions
- Monitor and process promotions, transfers and terminations
- Reporting on HR related dataFMLA/ADA/multi-state leave compliance
- Managing employee relations Assist in disciplinary actions, performance management
- Other special projects and duties as assigned
- Great attention to detail
- Proven working experience as HR Generalist
- People oriented and results driven
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices, union experience a plus
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Problem solving skills and resourceful thinking
- Ability to hold information confidential
- Education, License and Experience:
- Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experienceHR Certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years directly related experience in human resources
- Requires prolonged sitting, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for data input.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Must maintain a clear background check in order to satisfy customer jobsite badging requirements.
- Must be willing to submit to all vaccinations and screening tests required for customer jobsite badging protocol.
- Consistent, reliable, and timely attendance
- Maintain a clear drug and alcohol screening protocol.
